SCLEROTHERAPY

Spider veins are dilated small blood vessels that have a red or bluish color.  They appear mostly on the legs and can be short, disconnected lines or connected in a web-like formation.  The great majority of these blood vessels are not necessary.  If they are unsightly or uncomfortable, they can be treated by injection of a solution that will cause them to disappear or become much smaller.  This treatment is called sclerotherapy.

A single blood vessel may have to be injected more than once, a few weeks apart, depending mostly on its size. In any one treatment session, a number of vessels can be injected. See results.

Spider vein treatment works as follows: Dr Day injects a formulated solution into the unwanted vein.  This solution targets the lining of the blood vessel, and causes it to vanish over time.  In weeks, the vessel fades, eventually becoming virtually unnoticeable or invisible. See before/after photos.  See also patient testimonials.  More questions?
