CHEMICAL PEEL

Dr. Joanna Day has replaced her chemical peel treatments with the newer and more effective MicroLaserPeel. This information remains for informational purporses. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

Glycolic acid is one of the alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), a group of naturally occurring substances often referred to as "fruit acids" because they are found naturally in citrus fruits and other foods. Numerous clinical publications have shown the benefits of AHAs in improving skin appearance, vitality, tone and texture.  Improvement also occurs in many patients with various skin problems or sun damage.

Some skin problems are caused by or associated with excessive buildup of dead skin cells that make the skin thick and dull.  Dr Day uses AHAs to help loosen and remove the layers of dead cells that accumulate on the surface of the skin.

A chemical peel is a controlled removal of surface skin cells that leads to new and improved skin appearance. This causes healthier, rejuvenated skin. See patient testimonials.  More questions?
